In connection with the opening of a new cinema in Gallerierne in Hillerød on 29. January, The Halberdiers carried out a march in Slotsgade and a concert in the new cinema.
March 7’th Drabantgarden participated in an arrangement on behalf of Carlsberg Brewery.
The arrangement title was “Danmarks Største Værtshus” and took place on Dokken in Copenhagen. Hundreds of people were gathered to enjoy beers and sodas, and as well to enjoy the music programme delivered by several singers and bands.
May 29, morning at 08:00, you may have seen a small group of Halberdiers marching from Slangerupgade/Slotsgade to Torvet in Hillerød. The Halberdiers was walking in front of members of Frederiksborg og omegns Fugleskydningselskabs, leading with drums and signal horns playing fanfares.
May 30, Drabantgarden made a concert in Støberihallen in Hillerød. Festive and entertaining music for brass band was offered by, among others, John Fogerty, Edith Piaf, Phill Colins, Carl Nielsen, Shu-bi-dua and others.
With the concert the Guard also marked its 55th birthday, and the 25th anniversary for including female musicians in Drabantgarden.
On June 15, The Halberdiers participated in an arrangement by "Dannebrogs-Samfundet. Hillerød og Omegn". This time by tributing the scout groups and others that are handed over the Danish Flag as a gift from the society. Buggles and drums were accompanying with fanfares.
On June 16, the Royal Highness, King Frederik 10, made a visit to Frederiksborg Castle to inaugurate a new collection of Danish knightly orders at Frederiksborg Castle. A number of Halberdiers with Dannebrog, the Guards Standard and halberdiers had taken up positions at the castle bridge during the royal passage of the bridge. In the inner castle courtyard, people from near and far had gathered to pay tribute to the King.
