Welcome to the Halberdiers infopage with activities in spring and summer 2025.
As part of the annual celebration of the former producer of gunpowder in Frederiksværk, the township every year arranges a Town Festival combined with a Town Market. This year the Halberdiers is contributing with a march through the area of Frederiksværk where the celebration takes place. There will also be a few small concerts. This happens on May 3, in the time frame 10 to 11.30.
On May 15, you are invited to a historical tour of the Halberdiers. A former member of the Halberdiers and the main author of the book describing the history of the Halberdiers, Svend Ottesen, is presenting the historical highlights of the Halberdiers. It will be in Danish, and include photo and video recordings. This event takes place in Støberihallen in Hillerød at 19-21.30. It is open for everyone to participate, and there will be free entrance.
The Halberdiers is participating with a concert on the Veteran Car Meeting held on Maj 31 in Hammersholt, close to Hillerød. From 11 to 12.30 you may enjoy the concert, and further you may experience the variety of old timer cars, motorcycles, lorries etc, on show that day. Free entrance.
On 1. June the Halberdiers is inviting everyone to the annual summer concert. This will as in the past years take place in Støberihallen in Hillerød. The arrangement starts at 14.00 and ends at 17.00. The arrangement is for free.
In Hillerød the Halberdiers is engaged on June 20 and June 22, with two different sessions. Hillerød is celebrating the annual Town Festival and Chrildren’s Festival (Hillerød Slotssø Byfest og Børnenes Byfest). The Halberdiers will on 20 June perform a march through Hillerød's pedestrian streets starting in Slotsgade at 17.00. There will be a few small concerts during the march. On June 22 the Copenhagen Sprint World Tour is passing Hillerød, and on this occasion the Halberdiers is performing a concert at a selected point along the route, probably close to Slotsgade and Slotsbroen. This event is planned to start approximately at 12.20. The intention is to support the bikers with music that will carry the forward with new energy, however, as they are professionals the bikers will most likely have passed the spot in a few seconds.
